The Good Food Collaborative has three part-time staff person, including our Pantry Manager. The Pantry Manager oversees operations and the others are responsible for ensuring that the store is stocked and ready on the days we are open. We are also fortunate to have volunteers to help with the heavy lifting needed in moving food and stocking the shelves.

We have purposely kept our staff costs to a minimum so as to keep our administrative expenses low allowing us to use our limited resources to provide food and programs to our users. This is possible as we have so many dedicated volunteers who generously provide their time to make what we do work and we have an active and engaged board. We could not do what we do without our dedicated volunteers.

Occasionally, we hire individuals to work on specific projects for limited periods. We strive to be fair in our compensation but also to be good stewards of our limited resources. We are also most grateful for the help of a WIRC staff person that assists in the pantry three days per week.

Additionally, thanks to the generosity and commitment of WIRC to our mission, many of WIRC’s staff volunteer when needed to help with the literal heavy lifting of unloading our food delivery trucks.
